AUD Sentiments - Anything holiday

Our new challenge over at AUD sentiments is 'Anything Holiday' (with a sentiment)

Our lovely sponsor this time is Polka doodles and I've used this sweet snowman digi for my project.

The poinsettia is made with a marianne die set and the sentiment is from a sheet of die cuts. the ribbon is from crafty ribbons and I've inked the edges of the paper with distress inks.

Thanks for stopping by :)

This time I've used gold and pink glitter embossing powders from a company called 'Wow' who make the most fabulous range of embossing powders you could ever wish for!
The papers is from a Basic Grey pad which is not christmas related at all but I thought the colours tied in very nicely! The ribbon is from stash and the sentiment is from craftwork cards. The little glittery snowflakes are made with a Marianne snowflake die!

Rockin Robin!

This is a Pink Gem image I coloured yonks ago with my prisma pencils and he was feeling a tad neglected! So I took pity on him and finally used him on a card, I think he looks much happier already!

I've followed the Sketch over at Sketch n Stash and my neglected stash is this poor little guy!The papers are from my huge pile of Xmas scraps and I've used a border punch by MS and a Martha Stewart doily die. The ribbon is from stash, the corner die is sizzix and the greeting and card candy are from craftwork cards.

Are no two snowflakes alike?

Well certainly not when it comes to resist embossing!
I've used this big snowflake stamp from Inkadinkado, and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then inked over the middle with milled lavender distress ink and around the edges with broken china.

The paper is from Papermania and the ribbon hole punch is by fiskars. The ribbon is one I got from the USA and the greeting is from craftwork cards.

Thanks for visiting :)

My first Saturated Canary card

I am totally in love with Saturated Canary digis, but I've been initimidate by colouring them so I only bought my first 2 just the other day! I'm not the worlds best colourer and shader so I'm not completeley happy with her hair on this one but I think it's a reasonable first attempt!

I've coloured with Promarkers and used Antique linen distress ink around the edges of the image. The paper is by My Minds Eye, the ribbon is from stash and I've used a cuttleug Divine swirls embossing folder which I've used textured card in and sanded the raised swirls. The corners are cut from a Sizzix die, and the sentiment is a LOTV stamp.

I have followed the Sketch at Willow Sketchie Challenge:

Crafty Ribbons New England range

I was lucky enough to recently participate in the Crafty Ribbons 'New England' themed ribbon challenge, and here's what I made with this gorgeous collection:

These fab Christmas shoes are by Bugaboo and I've coloured them with promarkers. The edge of the image had been inked with Worn Lipstick DI. I've tied three colours of ribbon around the edge and used the happy christmas ribbon as the sentiment. The embossing border punch is by fiskars.

I made this little notebook with my guillotine and my crop a dile! The sweet ribbons hold it together. The paper is by My Minds Eye and I've added a flourish stamped in the corner and a little chipboard robin and tree.
I would like to enter the following challenges:

Seasoned with Mica powders!

I am loving my Mica powders at the moment!
Here I've used an Inkadinkado snowflake stamp with versamark and dusted three shades of mica powders over the top. Just a bit of ribbon and of course some gems to finish off!

The only problem I have with Micas is they are blooming hard to photograph! Thats not going to put me off them though! :)

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Funky Tree

This is a really cute idea on saw on our stand at the NEC, so I can't take credit for the idea but this is my take on it :)

The tree shape is a peel off and I've painstakingly added different gems and buttons to fit into the little circles! when I was getting towards the end I got a bit lazy and finished off with a few different shades of stickles. The greeting is a personal impressions stamp.
Thanks for stopping by!

It's beginning to look a lot like christmas...

I keep getting christmas songs stuck in my head recently! I can't help but sing along with my internal jukebox which annoys my colleagues no end!
I made this christmas card today using one of my new stamps from the NEC. The company is called Indigo Blu and they have a fantastic range of unusual gorgeous stamps.
The one I've used here is called Bare Forest, it stamped beautifully first time with versamark ink and I then dusted it over with silver Mica powder to bring out the image.
Recipe:
Bare Forest stamp with mica powder
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Silver and blue card.
LOTV sentiment stamp
MS Snowflake border punch and single snowflake punches.
Stickles for the falling snow

F1 Smashbook page

So this is another page I've done in my 'Things I Heart' Smashbook! F1 race Weekends are marked on the calendar in our house, as sad as it sounds we try not to miss a race!
Anything can happen and as proved by Lewis Hamilton in 2008, World Championships can be won or lost at the very last corner of the very last race.

The quote in the middle of the page was already there and is the reason I picked this particular page of the book! As you can probably tell we are McLaren supporters!
There is a blank page opposite this one so I may decide to update it every year entering the latest world Champion!
Lets hope the mighty Sebastian Vettel has a bit more competition next year as this past season has been quite a one horse race!

Even though the championship has already been decided, we will still be watching the remaining races, of course ;)

I really enjoyed doing this page and hope you have enjoyed browsing ;)

Thanks for stopping by, do drop in again soon :)

My First Smash* Book

I've discovered I'm a very slow 'smasher' so I'll be sharing pages from my books one at a time!

This is the cover of the Black book, which I'm going to fill with things I love (or 'heart' as we say in our house!)

cover is by no means finished but I will keep adding little things here and there whenever the mood takes me!

I've started off a couple of pages inside too, here's a sneaky peek ;)

NEC Stash!

My last day at the NEc was sunday but it was so exhausting it's taken me until today to recover properly, and now I'm off to work this afternoon, and college tonight! So back to the daily grind! But first I want to show alllll the stuff I got from the NEC! Most of it is from the stand I was working on as I didnt get many breaks but I did manage to sneak off to a few other stalls ;)

Here's all the Smash stuff I bought! Probably went over the top a bit but I just had to get one of everything lol :)

These are a lovely range of stamps, I wish  I could have afforded the whole lot but for the time being I just got a map backgroud and some trees :)

These 2 are matching stamp and die sets by Hero arts, I just couldnt resist!

Lots of dies! mainly Marianne ones but I did sneak in a set of Xcut squares too!!

Lili of the valley die cut sheets, 12 for £10! so naturally one of each lol ;)

LOTV tags stamp set

a copious amout of peel offs, not that I really need any but I have some ideas for my smashbooks with them :)

This is a lindsay mason christmas set, will come in handy for knocking out quick xmas cards!

all the embellies I got! The feathers are so cool! Got some Stickles which I dont have yet, and some candy bonbons which were 6 packs for a fiver

boring adhesives but necessary nonetheless

pretty papers! I really need to stop buying paper till I've sorted out a new home for them as my paper stash has now outgrown it's basket! also an embossing folder and an MS punch.

just a couple of distress inks

A gorgeous house and a key box that I'm planning to alter for christmas pressies

more boring stuff, card blanks!

and finally, some cut and dry, Flitter glu and gilding flakes! can't wait to play with these!

I am back to work and college now for the next 4 days so wont have chance to play properly until saturday!

Hope everyone else that went to the NEC had a great time and it was fab to meet those that stopped by to say Hi!  :)
