DS4J #7 - Use a Feather

Challenge time again over at Digistamps 4 Joy! And WOW, what a great response we had to our last challenge! If you entered then check the main blog to see if you are a lucky winner/top 3!

This week we'd like to see feathers on your projects! I've used this lovely shoe image which you can find here at the Digistamps 4 Joy shop, and added feathers to the front! I've coloured with Promarkers and inked the edges with Dusty Concord DI. The DP is Basic Grey and I've punched the flowers with Nellie Snellen embossing punches and added dew drops to the centres. The greeting looks like I've stamped it in green ink for some reason, but honestly it's black!! I've blinged it up by adding a touch of stickles in places.

Thanks for looking!!

OSAAT #40 Season or Event

Another Seasonal challenge for you this week, over at One Stitch at a Time our theme is any Season or Event.

We have TWO lovely sponsors for you this week!

The first is Joanna Sheen who is kindly offering a £10 voucher to one very lucky winner!

and last but not least, we have the Outlaw Women Scrapbook Emporium with a $10 voucher for another lucky winner!

For my project this week I've used the beautiful sketched image 'Precious Pup' from Beary Dust. Isn't he cute, and he makes such a lovely christmas card for any dog lover!
I've left the image uncoloured, so as not to spoil it, and layered it up onto silver mirri card with Deckled Rectangle nesties. The paper is by Kate Knight and was free with the most recent Quick Cards magazine.  I got the paw print ribbon from Michaels on my recent US trip, and the domed snowflakes look like brads but they are very shiny stickers!

CRAFT #77 - Use Vellum!

Thursday again which means its time for another challenge at CRAFT!

This week we are challenging you to use Vellum on your projects.
Our lovely sponsor is Sew Many Cards and the lucky winner will receive 5 digis of their choice from their shop!!

For my project I was delighted to use their lovely Heart Flower image, which I've painted using iridescent Mica pigment paints. I've cut and matted it with nesties labels eight and embossed the pink vellum with cuttlebug daisies folder. The Papers are from Papermania Rose Garden pack and the sentiment is craftwork cards. I've used green ribbon from stash and pink stickles around the image.

Charisma #46 - Babies!

We've got a very cute theme for you this week at Charisma - Babies!
Our lovely sponsors this week are....

Pink Cat Studio, who are offering 5 digi stamps of the lucky winners choice!!

and Precious moments, who have donated some special Digi's!

I have used this really cute image by Pink Cat Studio for my card. Isn't he the cutest thing! I felt he suited a boy's card best as he looks like a mischievous little thing! I've coloured him with promarkers and cut with nesties labels one. Stitching is doodled round the edge and buttons are from stash. The letters are cut with my MS multi-alphabet punches, one of the best things I have bought recently as I use them loads and it's much more convenient (and quicker) to do custom writing on a card than to set up my robo just for a few words.

Please dont forget to stop by the Charisma blog for the rest of the talented DT's creations!

WOYWW

I always get paranoid that my WOYWW posts look a bit 'set up' but this is honestly how I left my desk last night! I guess I am quite a tidy crafter, I have quite a neat pile of scraps there on the left side of my cutting mat which will get sorted and put away sooner or later, sometimes its handy to have some just sitting there than having to search through my scrap box! I was starting to play with my paint dabbers, experimenting decorating pegs for some fairs I have coming up. My black paint dabber seems rather watery though, I'm sure it should be thicker (was sealed when I bought it) as its just like murky grey water, anything I use it on is going to need more than 1 coat for sure... anyway, have fun nosing!

Festive Jiggy!

Another day, another post, what on earth is wrong with me (or right maybe?!)
This little fellow is called Jiggy and is from Stampin Dragon Designs. I've made him all festive with lots of christmassy colours! He's coloured with promarkers and cut out with circle and scalloped circle nesties. The red paper has been embossed with cuttlebug Snowflakes folder and the paper on the right side is from my scraps drawer. I've used lots of stickles, on his wings, the scallops, and the snowflakes in the background. I've also used my new Marianne Poinsettia dies for the first time on this card, I love love LOVE them!! Finally, the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards :)

Colourful Christmas

I havent seemed to find time to blog recently unless its for DT work, so Surprise!! Lol ;)
I made this card by using my brayer and a Big and Juicy inkpad to create the reindeer background, and stamped over it in silver with a reindeer stamp by Inkadinkadoo. I've also sponged the ink around the corners of the image to create a cloudy edge effct. The snowflake background was made with another Inkadinkadoo stamp from the same set, and a Brilliance tri colour inkpad. The sentiment is from Craftwork cards. Thanks for stopping by!

IDIC #29 - Tradtional Xmas Colours

This week at IDIC, we are flipping last weeks challenge on it's head, and want to see your Christmas cards made using Traditional Colours!!

For my project this week I've used the sweet 'Bella Snowlady' by the one and only Robyns Fetish!

She looks warm and toasty all wrapped up!! I've used Promarkers to colour her in, together with Forever Friends Christmas Papers, MS punches, Deckled Rectangles nesties, and a Craftwork cards sentiment. Finished off with ribbon from stash and LOTS of glitter! Think I went a bid mad with it here, even glittering up the odd tiny little holly leaf on the background... ok where's the padded van for me :D

Thanks for looking!
