Wedding card

This is a Wedding card I did for a recent commission

The image is Meljens coloured with Promarkers. I've cut it out with Nesties Scalloped Squares, and the edges are inked with Antique Linen distress ink. The sentiment is a Papermania stamp, and the paper is by Dovrcraft. The gems, ribbon and stars are from stash. I've also added stickles to the ring and swirls on the image.

AUD Sentiments – Anything goes with a sentiment!

Resist technique

I wish I could take credit for the design of this gorgeous card, but alas, I saw it in a recent copy of Cardmaking and Papercraft and just had to give it a try myself :)

I first stamped the dandelions with versamark ink and embossed with clear embossing powder, then overstamped them slightly offset using a variegated colour big and juicy inkpad. I then sponged over the whole thing with various distress inks to build up the cloudy background.

The dandelion stamps are by Lavinia stamps and the greeting is by Personal Impressions. Ribbon is from stash.

Todays Makes

Are recycled! and both in aid of assisting me in a practical way at my craft fairs :)

I made this waist pouch from some canvas cloth shopping bags and some pink patterned squares of fabric from my fabric stash pile

And then this huuge carrier for my pasting table, from an old duvet cover!

and neither cost me a penny as I already had everything I needed!

My sewing machine is having a well earned rest now ;) x

This one was made with a stamp set from Papermania, the sentiment die cut is made with nesties fancy tags.

And a really quick one, paper from Papermania, the corner punch is by xcut and the sentiment is from personal impresssions. Flower and ribbon from stash.

Charisma #32 - Distressing!

At Charisma this week we want to see your Distressing! I'm so excited to beable to announce that the lovely Carly has asked me to be co-owner and split into 2 teams!

so this week is the first outing from Team Gem! there is some wonderful inspiration for you on the challenge blog, but here I'm just going to show you my DT card ;)

I've used a clear stamp, I think it is from Dimension Fourth, inked with Tea Dye Distress ink. The edges are inked with Scattered Straw, Tea Dye and Walnut stain and have been distressed with my Tim holtz distressing tool as well :) The brown paper is from a MS stack and the loopy punch is also by MS. The sentiment is from craftwork cards and the ribbon is from stash :)

Very quick CAS Card

This was a very quick card to make. The paper was from my scraps drawer, the buttom is just a random old button and the sentiment is a stamp by personal impressions. I've also used a border punch from Fiskars.

AUD Sentiments – Merry christmas!

Yes, it’s getting closer and closer by the week, so what better way to get on with all those cards you need to make than to enter our 'Merry Christmas' sentiment challenge at AUD Sentiments this fortnight!

I've used their funky image Princess Jennifer Latte decorating the Tree. The image is coloured with promakers, and the papers are from DCWV christmas and my christmas scraps box. I've used MS border and holly leaf punches, and the sentiment is from craftwork cards. I've added stickles to her fur and the star on the tree, and of course some red gems for the holly leaves!
