NEC Stash!

My last day at the NEc was sunday but it was so exhausting it's taken me until today to recover properly, and now I'm off to work this afternoon, and college tonight! So back to the daily grind! But first I want to show alllll the stuff I got from the NEC! Most of it is from the stand I was working on as I didnt get many breaks but I did manage to sneak off to a few other stalls ;)

Here's all the Smash stuff I bought! Probably went over the top a bit but I just had to get one of everything lol :)

These are a lovely range of stamps, I wish  I could have afforded the whole lot but for the time being I just got a map backgroud and some trees :)

These 2 are matching stamp and die sets by Hero arts, I just couldnt resist!

Lots of dies! mainly Marianne ones but I did sneak in a set of Xcut squares too!!

Lili of the valley die cut sheets, 12 for £10! so naturally one of each lol ;)

LOTV tags stamp set

a copious amout of peel offs, not that I really need any but I have some ideas for my smashbooks with them :)

This is a lindsay mason christmas set, will come in handy for knocking out quick xmas cards!

all the embellies I got! The feathers are so cool! Got some Stickles which I dont have yet, and some candy bonbons which were 6 packs for a fiver

boring adhesives but necessary nonetheless

pretty papers! I really need to stop buying paper till I've sorted out a new home for them as my paper stash has now outgrown it's basket! also an embossing folder and an MS punch.

just a couple of distress inks

A gorgeous house and a key box that I'm planning to alter for christmas pressies

more boring stuff, card blanks!

and finally, some cut and dry, Flitter glu and gilding flakes! can't wait to play with these!

I am back to work and college now for the next 4 days so wont have chance to play properly until saturday!

Hope everyone else that went to the NEC had a great time and it was fab to meet those that stopped by to say Hi!  :)

Charisma 42 - Embossing!

Hi all! it's a lovely sunny morning here in staffordshire, no doubt that means its freezing outside though! We've had to give in and put the heating on this week!

This week at Charisma, we want to see your embossing! We are sponsored by the lovely All That Scraps, AND Meljens Designs!

For my card this week I've used this gorgeous new butterflies embossing folder I got recently on a shopping trip with my lovely friend Carly :) I have glittered three of the butterflies to make them stand out.
The poem is a sentiment stamp from Lili of the valley, and I've mounted it on pink mirror card. The pink gems are from stash.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Kiki the kitty

This is a little kitty my mum cross stitched and I mounted it onto a card for her.
The kit was a freebie from a magazine earlier this year!

I've used some paper from the tatty teddy paper pack and the ribbon and dewdrops are from stash. I kept the rest of the card fairly simple as I didnt want to draw attention away from the stitching :)

thanks for visiting :)

An old cross stitch project

Way back when, before I got into blogging or cardmaking, believe it or not I never used to take pics of my finished projects!

This is one I have finally got around to photographing!

It's a cross stitch of the English Rose flower fairy I stitched for my mum as a present when I got married, 6 years ago now, how time flies! I chose this one because I am very pale skinned and when I was little she always used to call me her little English Rose!

So now I finally have taken a pic of it, I thought I'd share. It was a kit I bought by DMC and was quite easy, if I remember rightly it took me a couple of months to complete. There's a lot of backstitch but it really does bring her to life!

thanks for stopping by :)
