Blog Neglect!

Wow I just checked and I can't believe that last time that I posted was the 24th November!!
We can't have that!
So here's a few christmas cards I've been making whilst I've been AWOL!

This one was made from a Papermania paper stack that came with some die cut squares, all I did was ink the edges, add the ribbon, letters, and gems :) Simples

This one I made using a die cut Decoupage that I got from the NEC recently, I think its made by Craft creations but I'm not in my craftroom right now so don't quote me on that! I'll double check, if I remember! Just added the ribbon, what a sweet nativity scene. It's cards like this that remind me what christmas is all about, it's so easy to get caught up in all the present buying and food eating these days. Last year the BBC had a short drama series on before christmas about the nativity story, I hope that something like this is run again as I really enjoyed it. Anyway enough babbling about that  from me :)

And finally a quickie LOTV die cut card. No idea who the paper is by but the Tree ribbon is from May Arts (US), aint it cool! The holly leaves are MS punch and dotted card candy and the sentiment is craftwork cards.

Promise to try and do my best to be a better blogger! :)

AUD Sentiments - Anything holiday

Our new challenge over at AUD sentiments is 'Anything Holiday' (with a sentiment)

Our lovely sponsor this time is Polka doodles and I've used this sweet snowman digi for my project.

The poinsettia is made with a marianne die set and the sentiment is from a sheet of die cuts. the ribbon is from crafty ribbons and I've inked the edges of the paper with distress inks.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Here's my inspiration card for you, as you might have noticed this snowflake stamp has cropped up a few times on my blog recently! I'm loving trying out lots of different techniques with it and getting so many different looks from just one stamp!

This time I've used gold and pink glitter embossing powders from a company called 'Wow' who make the most fabulous range of embossing powders you could ever wish for!
The papers is from a Basic Grey pad which is not christmas related at all but I thought the colours tied in very nicely! The ribbon is from stash and the sentiment is from craftwork cards. The little glittery snowflakes are made with a Marianne snowflake die!

Rockin Robin!

This is a Pink Gem image I coloured yonks ago with my prisma pencils and he was feeling a tad neglected! So I took pity on him and finally used him on a card, I think he looks much happier already!

I've followed the Sketch over at Sketch n Stash and my neglected stash is this poor little guy!The papers are from my huge pile of Xmas scraps and I've used a border punch by MS and a Martha Stewart doily die. The ribbon is from stash, the corner die is sizzix and the greeting and card candy are from craftwork cards.

Are no two snowflakes alike?

Well certainly not when it comes to resist embossing!
I've used this big snowflake stamp from Inkadinkado, and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then inked over the middle with milled lavender distress ink and around the edges with broken china.

The paper is from Papermania and the ribbon hole punch is by fiskars. The ribbon is one I got from the USA and the greeting is from craftwork cards.

Thanks for visiting :)

My first Saturated Canary card

I am totally in love with Saturated Canary digis, but I've been initimidate by colouring them so I only bought my first 2 just the other day! I'm not the worlds best colourer and shader so I'm not completeley happy with her hair on this one but I think it's a reasonable first attempt!

I've coloured with Promarkers and used Antique linen distress ink around the edges of the image. The paper is by My Minds Eye, the ribbon is from stash and I've used a cuttleug Divine swirls embossing folder which I've used textured card in and sanded the raised swirls. The corners are cut from a Sizzix die, and the sentiment is a LOTV stamp.

I have followed the Sketch at Willow Sketchie Challenge:

Crafty Ribbons New England range

I was lucky enough to recently participate in the Crafty Ribbons 'New England' themed ribbon challenge, and here's what I made with this gorgeous collection:

These fab Christmas shoes are by Bugaboo and I've coloured them with promarkers. The edge of the image had been inked with Worn Lipstick DI. I've tied three colours of ribbon around the edge and used the happy christmas ribbon as the sentiment. The embossing border punch is by fiskars.

I made this little notebook with my guillotine and my crop a dile! The sweet ribbons hold it together. The paper is by My Minds Eye and I've added a flourish stamped in the corner and a little chipboard robin and tree.
